How do I get or renew a dog or cat license?

This can be done online at www.westalliswi.gov/petlicense.

Due date for obtaining your pet's license is March 31 of every year. The fee for spayed/neutered pets is $12.00, and the fee for unaltered pets is $24.00. If the license is not applied for by March 31, there will be an additional late fee of $6.00 or $12.00 based on whether your pet is spayed/neutered.

Please provide a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate and neutered/spayed documentation when applying for the license for your dog or cat.

Special Note: There is a $1.00 processing fee if you submit your payment to MADACC online or by mail. When you mail your license fee payment directly to the West Allis Clerk's Office, there is no additional processing fee. Contact (414) 302-8220 for more information.  Credit Cards accepted:  Visa and MasterCard.
