1. Who is my alderman?

STAFF: Visit the Property Search tool to look up the resident by address.

2. Where is my polling location?

STAFF: Visit MyVoteWi.org to find the customer's polling location by address, or refer them to the https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ website if they do not wish to share their address.

3. How do I schedule a building, plumbing, or electrical inspection?

To schedule an inspection directly with an inspector, call 414-302-8420 at any time. You may also request an inspection by faxing your request to the Building Inspection Department at 414-302-8402. 

Most inspection requests require 48 hours advance notice and are scheduled for the morning (9:30 am - 11:30 am) or afternoon (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm) window of time.

4. How do I schedule an appointment or class at the Health Department?

Call the Health Department at 414-302-8600 for appointment information.

5. I received a notice/citation about snow removal. What do I do?

Contact Building Inspection and Neighborhood Services at 414-302-8400. 

6. How do I get a food peddler's license?

This license application is handled by the City Clerk's office and the application can be downloaded from our website. Obtain the person's email address and send them a link to this page.

7. How do I get or renew a dog or cat license?

This can be done online at www.westalliswi.gov/petlicense.

Due date for obtaining your pet's license is March 31 of every year. The fee for spayed/neutered pets is $12.00, and the fee for unaltered pets is $24.00. If the license is not applied for by March 31, there will be an additional late fee of $6.00 or $12.00 based on whether your pet is spayed/neutered. 

Please provide a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate and neutered/spayed documentation when applying for the license for your dog or cat. 

Special Note: There is a $1.00 processing fee if you submit your payment to MADACC online or by mail. When you mail your license fee payment directly to the West Allis Clerk's Office, there is no additional processing fee. 8. How do I pay my water bill/request a final water bill?

Visit www.westalliswi.gov/payutilitybill to pay your quarterly utility bill or request a final bill.

9. How do I change my address or my property's address with the City?

STAFF: Get the customer's email address and send them a link to this form. It can be downloaded and returned to Water Utility or emailed to addresschange@westalliswi.gov. 

10. Where/how can I pay my property taxes?

For immediate cash refund, pay at Tri City Bank.

Payments made by mail must be received on or before the due date to be considered on time. Any interest and penalty incurred on delinquent amounts are calculated based on the date received, not the postmark date. All mail is receipted with the date it is received. Payment must be received by the treasurer within five working days after the due date.
